Cyril
Sen designs and conducts training programmes principally in Human Resource
Management, such as ‘HRM for Non-HR’, and Employee Relations incorporating
Malaysian labour laws, such as ‘Law on Dismissal in Malaysia’, ‘Collective
Bargaining’, ‘How to Conduct a Domestic Inquiry & Handle Misconducts’, and
‘Misconduct & Discipline’. He also assists organisations in the conducting
of Domestic Inquiries and Voluntary Separation Schemes (VSS).
Being in the former employ of the largest electricity generating company in Malaysia for more than thirty years, Cyril has more than twenty years experience in the labour field, having been involved in collective bargaining for both management and the union. He obtained his MBA in Training & Human Resource Development from Newport University, USA, and has a Diploma in Personnel Management from the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM). He is also a National Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) qualified Safety & Health Officer. A Life Member of MIHRM, Cyril has served as the Hon. General Secretary and Executive Secretary of the Institute. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) and a MIM Certified Professional Trainer, and also an approved Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) Trainer. His experience includes conducting public programmes as well as in-house programmes for organisations in Malaysia & Singapore. Cyril also conducts numerous courses on the labour laws for some of our local institutes of higher learning, and has also provided consulting services to companies and assisted them in the conducting of Domestic Inquiries and Voluntary Separation Schemes (VSS). In 2010, Cyril joined the Organising Committee of the 19th Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India as a Director and was assigned the duties of the Venue Operations Manager at the Yamuna Sports Complex for Table Tennis.
